To Tweet, or Not to Tweet?
Hey Guys, it is Jason Hennessy reporting live from Everspark Interactive. Today, I would like to spend a few minutes talking about a question that may be on everyone’s mind. With social media on the constant rise and more and more people turning to various social media platforms, should you tweet or not? What should you tweet? When should you tweet? To tweet or not tweet, that is the question. Well, let’s take a look at some of these questions…
Twitter has become more and more popular in the past few years. Business have chosen to use Twitter as a way to keep their customers (Followers) informed of what is going on. The question many people have is what should they tweet and when? Like any social media platform, there are no set rules to follow. What may work for you, may not work for someone else. So when it comes to what should you tweet, try and look at it from a follower’s view point. What would YOU want to know, and try and tweet that. The sky really is the limit when it comes to what you can tweet. Keep in mind who your general audience is and what they are interested in and you should be all set. Think outside the box and feel free to tweet whatever you feel would be newsworthy information.
Social media has become an essential tool when it comes to marketing and branding yourself online. Having a twitter or facebook account is always a good idea, and how you choose to use them is really up to you. Think of these social media platforms as an extension of you and your business. It is okay to be creative just keep in mind that your Tweets will represent your business.
Is there a right time of the day to tweet? Of course there will be times of the day when it seems that more people are tweeting but you will need to test this for yourself. It is your own community of follower’s and the best way to see the results would be to experiment and find out for yourself. You can even set up RSS feeds to automatically tweet for you at certain times of the day.
There is more than one way to manage your Twitter account. There is no right or wrong way, there is simply the way that WORKS for you. That is the great thing about social media platforms, there are no set rules to follow. Once you find the best way that seems to work for you, then stick with it. Have fun. Be creative and tweet till your heart is content.
