What Defines Web Site Quality?

Hey guys. I am Jason Hennesey from Everspark Interactive. Today, we are going to take a few minutes of your time to talk about a question that may be on your mind. We keep hearing about website quality and how important it is. So, just what is web site quality, and why do we care about it?

Google is now looking at the quality of your page when it comes to search rankings, so you need to be sure that your page is of the highest quality possible. This is where it may become confusing, as you may not be sure what qualifies as highest quality. When you are designing your website, keep a few important things in mind. Are you providing the reader with credible and factual information? Does your website contain enough information that makes the reader believe you, or makes them want to contact you in order to find out more information? Would you buy from or trust a website that provides similar information to yours? These questions can help you to determine if your website is a high quality site.

Doing business in the virtual world, sometimes one will need to ensure that his site gains the reader’s trust. It goes back to the old saying: “can you believe everything that you read”? While the answer to that is no, can you see why having a site full of relevant and factual information is priceless? Keep in mind that when you do business in the virtual world, it is different from meeting face to face and shaking hands. With the personal element sometimes removed, it is even more crucial to establish a sense of trust with your readers.

We cannot put enough emphasis on the fact that content is king; however, there are still some other aspects of your page that are taken into consideration when it comes to determining if your page is of high quality. The overall website design plays an important role in determining the quality of your site. Your site should be easy to navigate as well as clean with a visually -appealing design. This goes hand in hand with the functionality of your site. Google has told us that there are three main things that they look for when it comes to determining the quality of your site. These are: Relevant and Original Content, Transparency and Navigability. If you keep these three things in mind when you are looking at your own site, you will be able to ensure that you do have a high quality site.

Additionally, you may want to take some time and look at other websites that are top ranking to see what makes their sites stand out from the others. One thing that you will notice is that all the top ranking sites will have accurate and true information that will instantly gain the trust of readers. These sites will also function well, have clear motives for the business present, and be easy to navigate and read.

We understand that there are a lot of complicated steps involved in creating a high-quality site, and we also know that not everyone is an expert. That is why we are here to help. If you need more information, please either take a look around our site or give us a call.

Thanks for watching and we will see you next time.
